Irony of Mockers and Seekers.

Like the North-star, the seeker sets his sail towards his goal.
Temporary mishaps makes the seeker the object of mockery.
Vagaries observers assume the seeker as confused.
Like the mockers of acclaimed prodigee of a certain great prophet,
(who rode off in the chariot of fire).

Will you ever amount to anything? They asked.
Will you ever have leadership figure in your life after tonight?
What will you become? And what will become of you thou seeker?
They mocked the seeker in Elisha; just as they mocked the dreamer in Joseph.

The prophetic authority and spiritual governance of the region was about shifting base.
The whirlwind of change was transporting the most coveted anointing.
The geographical base of power was shifting; yet mockers were unsuspecting.
Location of mockers remain unchanged, yet they had the gut to mock?
Alas! They were mocking themselves unknowingly.
Not considering their own misery, and destiny.
Little did they know that the seeker has gone farther than their naked eyes!

While mockers were interested in the ephemeral, the seeker was seeking the permanence.
While they were concerned in scheming, conning and cornering the seeker;
the seeker was interested in something bigger than life itself.
While they were passionate about frivolities of being led; the seeker wanted the "double portion"...of what controls every other things.

While mockers stuck desperately to manipulations and control; the seeker seeks the ultimate...the Person, the Power and the Purpose.
while, mockers were absorbed in maligning the seekers,
the seekers by living becomes their teachers through authority and power.
While they cast condescending look at the seekers in their parochial views,
the seeker builds from within what cannot be given from without.
While they faced the temporal, the seekers faced the permanence and transcendental.

Years may roll by. Winds may blow over unharvested crops.
Mockers would return in repentance.
Their ignorance and evil desire would be abated.
Their folly would be made manifest.
They will behold the seekers and what the life of seeking has drawn from deposits of time.
They will give glory to God.

Mockers would learn how seekers life yields dividends.
If only they had joined the wagons of wisdom.
If only they had enrolled in the school of wisdom.
If instead of mocking, they learn?
But they grumbled and mumbled,
They backbite and back-stabbed.

So, you wonder why they want it too?
You wonder why they want it cheap?
What the seekers spent entire life seeking?
What like time-travelers seekers sought with aches and pains?

What only hearts understand, but words can't encapsulate?
That which is hidden from ordinary eyes?
That which the nobles and the deities even seek?
That which the riches of the rich cannot acquire?
That which naked eyes can't see?
That which is accessible yet not all have the appetites for?

Yet you want it without wanting the accompanying life?
You want what the seeker possess, without wanting the lifestyle of the seeker?
You want it cheap?
If you can't get it, you'd fume in the mouth? You'd fight?
You'd attack those who spent their entire life seeking it?

You got no reason to envy what you did not die pursuing.
You got no excuse for losing what you had originally suffered to earn.
Why did you drop it?
Was it out of carelessness? Was it out of ignorance?
How did you lose it, thou mocker?

Did you chase it, but got tired?
Did you retire?
Was there a more compelling reason to chase it?
For where there's a more convincing reason to chase;
then the chase becomes endless.

If it's not worth it, then give it up!
But keep seeking if its worth it.
Keep chasing, for surely as the dawn, you will reach it.
And at the end of your chase, you would have become much more...
You would have become more than a seeker but a "finder".

To be a finder of a self in the process of seeking.
To be no longer a "seeker" but one who finds and keeps finding...
To come to a realization that what convinces the conscience is not without.
That, what is within is greater than what is without.
That the ultimate is seen by those who dared to chase it.
That it doesn't matter if you got it or not.
That what matters is who you have become and who you are becoming in the process of finding.

That my friend; is what can never be given to you by anyone.
That my friend; is the reason for seeking.
That my friend; means that there are things which cannot be given.
One of such is a seeking mind.
And that is why i will rather spend my entire life seeking...
living the life of a seeker.
I'd rather chase it, than give up a chase that i did not engage!
I'd rather chase a carrot and stick; than assume from a distance that it's unattainable.
For in every chase, there is change. And in my chase, is my change.
As long as i am changed, every other counts for less!
